Bio-morphic Sculpture
Artist: Laurie Karasek.
The sunken gardens are a delightful spot at any time of year. The Bio-Morphic sculpture makes a visit even more rewarding with its graceful curves and sleek lines. The sculpture was created by Laurie Karasek of the Ilam School of Fine Arts, who described it as a biomorphic form floating in the form of a water lily.
Chosen via a public competition, the sculpture was paid for by a generous gift from Sir Lewis and Lady Harris of Brooklands Station, Hawke's Bay.
